We are looking for an experienced software engineer to help lead and grow the Data Team at Yotta.  The Data Team is responsible for conducting research, creating models, testing, and deploying machine learning and other real-time estimation algorithms to products.  As a Senior Software Engineer you will be the team’s go-to expert in building internal tools and data pipelines that are critical to team.

Responsibilities​

• Conduct requirements surveys for new tools and other needs of the team

• Lead the designing, testing, and implementation of software projects

• Use best practices for the documentation, bug-tracking, and scheduling of the projects

• Be willing to learn new technologies and programming languages as needed

• Have the ability to solve software engineering problems

Qualifications​

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Experience with Python and C++

• Comfortable working on Linux systems and bash scripting

• Experience interacting with databases and big data

• Experience working with web frameworks, JavaScript, and other full stack technologies

• Experience with software project management

• Bonus for having experience with machine learning applications

• Written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proven record of getting things done

Sensor Fusion Engineer / Navigation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Sensor Fusion Engineer to join the Data Team at Yotta.  The Data Team is responsible for conducting research, creating models, testing, and deploying machine learning and other real-time estimation algorithms to products.  As a Sensor Fusion Engineer, you will work with the team to develop, test, and deploy novel algorithms in sensor fusion, navigation, machine learning, and estimation.

Responsibilities​

• Design and test new algorithms

• Conduct data collection experiments

• Be willing to learn new technologies and programming languages as needed

• Solve new and challenging engineering problems

• Read and understand cutting-edge research papers and publications

Qualifications​​

• 5+ years of professional experience

• A deep understanding of inertial navigation systems and reference frames

• Experience with Python and C++

• Comfortable working on Linux systems

• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks

• Experience working with sensors such as IMUs, magnetometers, GPS, and cameras

• Kalman Filtering, Particle Filtering, and sensor calibration techniques

• Bonus for having experience with MATALB or Octave

• Bonus for having experience with classical computer vision algorithms

• Written and verbal communication skills in English

We are looking for a seasoned Android Engineer to help support and develop mobile applications.  The Android Engineer will leverage Android expertise and best practices to improve product quality.  As Yotta enables more customers to utilize contextual data, you will help lead Yotta with Android expertise.

• 5+ years experience with Android development

• Demonstrate experience developing and deploying an Android application

• Strong Java and Javascript development skills

• Work experience with C++

• Android Studio and/or IntelliJ IDE experience

• Demonstrated experience developing for material design

Software Engineer - Mapping

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help support and develop front-end and back-end applications. The Software Engineer will leverage mapping expertise and best practices to improve product quality. As Yotta enables more customers to utilize contextual data, you will help lead Yotta with mapping expertise.

Qualifications​​

• 5+ years experience with mapping software development

• Demonstrate knowledge of mapping, including map tile generation, georeferencing, and datums

• Demonstrate knowledge of GPS and mapping libraries and tools such as WhirlWind, GRASS, QGIS, ArcGIS

• Strong Javascript and Java development skills

• Work experience with Javascript

• Experience with Angular, React, React Native, Vue, Redux, Node

• Experience with Python

• Experience with software development via distributed development teams

• Background in Earth Sciences preferred

• Written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proven record of getting things done
